Another ISIS terror message found scribbled in washroom of Mumbai airport

MUMBAI: Another terror message has been found scribbled on the wall in the washroom of Mumbai Airport.

The message says that the "ISIS has planned a terror attack in Mumbai on January 26", TV channels reported on Friday.

The message was found scribbled on the wall of men's toilet of Terminal 1 of domestic airport.

This is the second terror message found scribbled in the toilet of Mumbai airport in recent days.

Earlier on January 7, a 'terror strike' alert was found scribbled on a wall in the men's toilet at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA).

Security had been increased at the airport after the terror message was found..

The message on the toilet wall read: 'CSI ATTECK BY ISIS DATE 10/01/15'.

After this alert warning, passengers entering and leaving the airport were being scanned thoroughly.

Even as security measures at the airport have been heightened, the police said the threat is a "non-specific''. In security parlance, non-specific alerts are random threats which are devoid of any specific details, said official of Air India.

"Generally, non-specific threat alerts are not seen as serious as against specific threats. Non-specific alerts generally turn out to be hoax calls," said the official.

A probe is on by different agencies, and housekeeping employees are being questioned. So far no case registered in the matter. A police officer with the immigration department said that it is unclear if the threat is real or a prank." Deputy commissioner of police Virendra Mishra said, "We suspected this to be some mischief, we are not taking any chances. Security has been beefed up."

Assistant commissioner of police (airport), Madhukar Sankhe, said that closed- circuit television cameras at the airport were being examined. "We're going through the footage for those who used the toilet late evening," said Sankhe.
