Anna's 'jail bharo' site gets over 1 lakh registration

Gandhian Anna Hazare's ' Jail Bharo Andolan' has recived over a hundred thousand registrations so far. The website of India Against Corruption's link for filling up the jails in the country to protest against the politician's and government's refusal to "give the country a strong Lokpal", available at http://jailchalo.com/default.aspx, has been seeing a rapid increase in registrations.

As of now, Delhi and NCR are leading with over 14000 people registering to go to jail in support. Karnataka is at No 2 with over 9.5 K, while Mumbai is at No 3 with almost 9.5 K. Among the states, Maharashtra, which is also Anna's home turf, minus Mumbai is the highest with about 11K registrations.

As expected, the interest from the North East is lukewarm, indicating a lower Internet penetration as well. Kerala too is low. However, the interest from states such as Gujarat, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan is quite high.
