Anna Hazare to watch 'Gali Gali Chor Hai' at Ralegan

"Anna has agreed to watch the film, despite ill health as it deals with corruption," Hazare's aide Datta Awari said from Ralegan.

MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Akshaye Khanna, along with the team of Hindi flick ' Gali Gali Chor Hai' will be in Anna Hazare's hometown Ralegan Siddhi tomorrow for a special screening of the film.

"Anna has agreed to watch the film, despite ill health as it deals with corruption," Hazare's aide Datta Awari said from Ralegan.

Besides Akshaye, those reaching the village tomorrow include Satish Kaushik and Mugdha Godse, part of the film crew, Awari said.

"'Gali Gali Chor Hai' is a political satire about a common man's fight against corruption. So it makes sense to show it to Anna Hazare who has become the national face of a common man fighting corruption," a crew member said.

The screening will take place late tomorrow evening near the Yadavbaba temple at Ralegan Siddhi, Awari said. "Anna is not keeping well but he will watch the film for some time," he added.

Ralegan Siddhi is a small village without any cinema halls and the film crew shall be carrying a projector and screens with them, he said.
