Anna Hazare supporters burn Lokpal copies

PATNA: Several supporters of Gandhian Anna Hazare under the banner of India Against Corruption today burnt copies of the government-sponsored Lokpal bill at busy Dakbungalow roundabout here.

Demanding immediate withdrawal of Lokpal bill placed in Lok Sabha by the government, supporters of Hazare assembled at the chowk and burnt copies of the bill.

They held protests braving heavy rains under the nation-wide campaign launched by Hazare against the bill.

India Against Corruption conveners Ratnesh Choudhary and Sanjay Kumar Dutta said the bill in its present context was unacceptable and there was an urgent need for bringing an effective Lokpal.
