Anna Hazare appears reluctant to accept the 'Z' category security offered to him by the Maharashtra government, saying that he does not need it.

RALEGAN SIDDHI: Anna Hazare appears reluctant to accept the 'Z' category security offered to him by the Maharashtra government, saying that he does not need it.

Hazare, who resumed his normal chores in his native village this morning with a walk, told reporters that freedom fighters like Bhagat Singh and Rajguru did not have any security. "Why do I need any security?" he asked.

The Gandhian said that a person can die of a heart attack too. "What is the protection there?".

Hazare, at the same time, went on to add that he would think about security. He would be writing to Maharashtra Home Minister R R Patil on the issue.

74-year-old Hazare said he had regained half of the seven kilos he had lost during his 12-day fast in New Delhi in support of his demands for a Jan Lokpal Bill.
