Anil Ambani's aircraft released provisionally by Customs

Mumbai Customs officials have released the 'Bombardier Global 5000' aircraft owned by Anil Ambani group ADAG.

MUMBAI: Mumbai Customs officials have released the 'Bombardier Global 5000' aircraft owned by Anil Ambani group ADAG, a company official said here on Saturday.


The company furnished a bank guarantee of Rs 37-crore and a bond amount of Rs 150-crore, equivalent to the value of the aircraft, in Delhi to get the seized plane released provisionally on Friday.

The Government had on Wednesday issued a seizure notice for an aircraft of Anil Ambani group over alleged customs duty evasion.

Now the adjudication proceedings would decide on the amount of fine and penalty for the alleged duty evasion, the official said.
