Andhra Pradesh to install CCTVs for Godavari Pushkaram
A strong force of 15,420 police personnel will be utilised for Pushkarams and temporary make-shift structures (shelters) will be erected.

Chinarajappa, who is also State Home minister, held a review meeting with police personnel here and urged them not cause any sort of inconvenience to pilgrims and directed to install 171 CCTVs (closed-circuit television) at vulnerable points during the festival, which commences from July 14.
He also directed officials take all precautionary measures and make bandobust for the occasion.

During the festival, the total areas will be divided into sectors, the minister directed, adding that safety measures at VIP ghats and other important ghats across river Godavari shall be taken.
