KAKINADA: Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Minister Prathipati Pulla Rao today said the state Government had planned to organize 1,000 farmer producer organisations for international-quality production in the agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry and fishery sectors.

While inaugurating the three-day AQUABIZ India - 2016 here, he said that each FPO would consist of one thousand farmers who would adopt best practises for quality production.

The Government was according top priority to aquaculture as its growth rate was very high and it fetched a lot of foreign exchange, he said.
