Andhra Pradesh doesn't need to change formation day, says YSR Congress Party
Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh continue to observe November 1 as the state formation day even after smaller states were carved out of them, he added.

"The State Reorganisation Bill has categorically said that Telangana is being carved out of Andhra Pradesh, and so there is no logic as to why the the state formation day should be changed. Telangana was born on June 2 and not Andhra Pradesh. Being a strong votary of integrated state, YSR Congress feels that November 1 should be observed as the formation day," senior party leader Dr MV Mysoora Reddy said.
Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh continue to observe November 1 as the state formation day even after smaller states were carved out of them, he added.
"It is logical for Telangana to observe June 2 as its formation day as it is the newly formed 29th state, but Andhra Pradesh has been in existence (prior to that) and there is no need to change the day of formation," he added.
