Andhra Pradesh bandh: YSR Congress calls for a shutdown, workers stage protest
N Chandrababu Naidu-led TDP kept the Andhra Pradesh special status issue alive on Monday, with its MPs holding a demonstration outside Parliament House

On Saturday, YSR Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy had called for a bandh in Andra Pradesh over the nonfulfillment of 'special category status'.
During an interaction with reporters in Kakinada, Reddy said if all MPs from Andhra Pradesh call it quits and state protest, the Centre would be compelled to fulfil the promises made in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act.
Reacting on Narendra Modi's speech on the No-Confidence Motion in the Lok Sabha, where he said that he had warned the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) of falling into YSR Congress Party's trap, Mr Reddy said, "We have been speaking on these things since last four years. Now TDP picked up the same and aimed at the Centre. Our sincerity appears trap to Modi?"
