ANC, INC sign MoU to enhance relations

The African National Congress (ANC) and the Indian National Congress (INC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance ties between the two parties.

NEW DELHI: The African National Congress (ANC) and the Indian National Congress (INC) on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance ties between the two parties.

Jacob G Zuma, President of the ANC and Sonia Gandhi, President of the Congress signed the MoU here.

The memorandum laid emphasis on South-South cooperation and collaboration in a variety of areas discussed by the two leaders in a meeting on Monday.

In the meeting, Zuma, who is leading an ANC delegation and Sonia Gandhi, discussed measures to strengthen relations between the two countries.

Both the leaders reviewed the ongoing efforts to strengthen and consolidate political, economic, trade and cultural relations between the countries.

Zuma, who was also the Vice President of South Africa, will lead the delegation to Mumbai on Wednesday for interaction with Indian industry leaders there.
