Anand Sharma to contest Rajya Sabha election from Himachal Pradesh

Earlier, Sharma was a member of Rajya Sabha from Rajasthan. Now he has been nominated by Congress high command to contest from Himachal Pradesh.

Anand Sharma to contest Rajya Sabha election from Himachal Pradesh
NEW DELHI: Deputy leader of Congress in the Rajya Sabha Anand Sharma has resigned from the upper house with effect from today.

Sharma resigned as he would the contest the Rajya Sabha election from his home state Himanchal Pradesh.

Earlier, Sharma was a member of Rajya Sabha from Rajasthan. Now he has been nominated by Congress high command to contest from Himachal Pradesh.

Sharma said he would be filling his nomination on March 9.
