Anand Mahindra praises e-rickshaw driver for his social distancing innovation

As social distancing and wearing of masks beocmes the new normal, there's no end to how Indians are creatively trying to figure out how to adapt to the new ways of life.

Mahindra group chairman, Anand Mahindra, lauded the creative genius of an e-rickshaw driver who showed how social distancing can be followed while people travel in an e-rickshaw.

The e-rickshaw driver partitioned the space in a way so that four passengers can sit without directly coming in physical contact with each other or even with the driver.


Sharing the innovation through a tweet, Anand Mahindra was so impressed by the innovation of the e-rickshaw driver that he tagged Rajesh Jejurikar, Executive Director - Auto and Farm Sectors, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, and asked him to hire the driver as an adviser to the R&D department.

"The capabilities of our people to rapidly innovate & adapt to new circumstances never ceases to amaze me," wrote Anand Mahindra.
