An opportunity to serve the nation: Jayant Sinha

HAZARIBAGH ( JHARKHAND): Jayant Sinha who was today inducted as a Minister of State in the Narendra Modi government said he is fortunate to get the opportunity to serve the country as a minister.

"Mujhey kendriya mantri banakar desh ki seva karney ka saubhagya prapt hua hain. Aapke samarthan ke liye apar dhanyabad (By making me minister, I now have the opportunity to serve the nation. Thank you for the support)," Sinha said in his SMS to newsmen in Hazaribagh after taking oath as a minister in the Narendra Modi government earlier in the day.

Welcoming Sinha's induction in the Cabinet, party workers distributed sweets and burst crackers at Jhanda Chowk and the party office here.

Sinha, the son of senior BJP leader and former Union Finance and External Affairs minister Yashwant Sinha won the Lok Sabha election from the Hazaribagh seat in Jharkhand.
