Justice Vikramjit Sen sworn-in as Karnataka HC Chief Justice

Justice Vikramjit Sen was today sworn-in as Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court. Governor H R Bhardwaj administered the oath of office to Justice Sen.

BANGALORE: Justice Vikramjit Sen was today sworn-in as Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court. Governor H R Bhardwaj administered the oath of office to Justice Sen.

Justice Sen was appointed Chief Justice following Chief Justice Jagadish Singh Khehar's elevation as Supreme Court judge.

Born on December 31, 1950, Justice Sen practised as a lawyer in civil, arbitration and commercial disputes.

He headed the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Tribunal that declared the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) an unlawful association in 2008 and 2010.
