Amit Shah's rally: High Court directs police commissioner to meet BJP
The state counsel submitted that the Kolkata Police authorities have not received any application for the meeting which BJP wants to hold.

Hearing a petition by the state BJP alleging that the city police had not given permission for holding the public meeting at Esplanade in the city, Justice Debangshu Basak directed the police commissioner to meet the party's representatives on November 20 and inform the court about its outcome the next day.
The state counsel submitted that the Kolkata Police authorities have not received any application for the meeting which BJP wants to hold in front of Victoria House at Esplanade in the heart of the city.
The November 30 meeting is scheduled to be addressed by Shah.
Alleging discrimination, the petition claimed that though Trinamool Congress had been allowed to hold a meeting there on July 21, BJP was being denied the permission.
