Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be visiting Bihar next weekend to take stock of the party's poll preparations in the state. Shah will participate in a government programme in Sitamarhi and later address a public rally. He will return to Patna and hold meetings with party leaders and some workers who have started working on the election campaign. Leaders from NDA parties are also likely to meet Shah during his Patna trip.

Shah had visited Bihar in March-end and at a closed-door meeting, instructed party leaders to identify weak booths, a strategy similar to that deployed in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. He is likely to visit on June 15 with the date to be confirmed in two days.

BJP sources told ET that during the meeting, Shah will take stock of the task he assigned during his last visit and accordingly provide the road map.
