Amit Shah to launch North East Democratic Alliance on July 13 in Guwahati

Manipur, Meghalaya and Mizoram are ruled by Congress, while Left Front is ruling Tripura. In Arunachal Pradesh BJP backed collation is ruling while in Nagaland BJP is a partner in ruling coalition.

GUWAHATI: BJP president Amit Shah’s ambitious project, North East Democratic Alliance ( NEDA) which is a grouping of non congress parties will be launched on Wednesday in Guwahati.

NEDA will be launched in presence of Shah and other central ministers on July 13.

NEDA was formed on May 24 last. Besides regional parties, chief ministers of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal, Nagaland T.R. Zeliang, Arunchal Pradesh Kalikho Pul, Pawan Kumar Chamling Sikkim are likely to attend the meeting. The meeting will also be attended by parliamentarian of non-Congress rules states.

NEDA last meeting was attended by Mizoram based Mizo National Front, Peoples’ Party of Arunachal, Assam based Asom Gana Parishad and Bodoland People’s Front, Indigenous Peoples Front of Tripura, Meghalaya based United Democratic Party (UDP)and National People's Party (NPP).
