Amit Shah may replace Narendra Modi in Vadodara
AHMEDABAD: BJP's UP in charge Amit Shah is likely to be the party candidate for the Vadodara seat once Narendra Modi vacates it. Modi is almost certain to win the Varanasi seat, although his margin of victory from Vadodara will surely be of record-breaking proportions.

Shah is expected to be rewarded for his work in Uttar Pradesh. He is said to be more interested in replacing Modi as CM but that post has been reserved for Anandiben Patel.

Insiders said that Shah is ready for a stint in Delhi as a minister in the PMO in all likelihood till the time is ripe for him to stake his claim for the top job in Gandhinagar. Shah's assembly seat of Naranpura in Ahmedabad may go to Narhari Amin, who switched sides from the Congress to BJP just before the 2012 assembly elections.
