On Wednesday evening, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP president JP Nadda and the party's general secretary (organisation) BL Santhosh held marathon meetings with the party's state leaders which lasted till 3 in the morning.
All this was done days ahead of the BJP's central election committee meeting on October 1, where it is likely to finalise the first list of candidates for Rajasthan assembly polls and more candidates for Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh elections.
At the meeting with BJP's Rajasthan core group leaders which include state unit chief CP Joshi, Rajendra Rathore, Satish Poonia, Raje and others, the discussions were held about upcoming assembly polls.
BJP MP Diya Kumari also came briefly to meet the party's senior leaders.
Shah also held a separate meeting with Raje where the two leaders were believed to have discussed various issues.
