Amarinder claims support of 27 Cong MLA
Former Punjab CM Capt Amarinder Singh on Sunday claimed to have support of 27 siting party MLAs out of 40 Congress MLAs in the Punjab assembly.

PATIALA: Former Punjab chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh today claimed to have support of 27 siting party MLAs out of 40 Congress MLAs in the Punjab assembly said that he has been enjoying full support of party high command in the hour of crises.
Talking to media persons at new moti bagh palace during the lunch break of Vigilance quizzing in a DA case registered against him at Patiala vigilance on June 20. He said that "I am overwhelmed with the response of Congress workers and MLAs which they have given to me today".
When asked as Punjab Congress directive not to give support to him today he said that the MLAs and workers have come here despite the instructions and he was thankful to them. He said Congress president Sonia Gandhi herself has been asking about the cases registered against him and has been showing sympathy to him regarding the registration of "false cases."
Jeet Mohinder singh MLA from Talwandi sabo announced the names of MLAs in the presence of Singh.
He said beside him and Capt. Singh, we have the support of 25 other congress MLAs 21 were present and 5 other were present though their representatives.
