Amar Singh says he is missing Jaya bhabi

Expelled Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh on Sunday categorically ruled out the possibility of re-embracing Mr Mulayam Singh Yadav, even if that meant not paying heed to the advice rendered to him by close friend Jaya Bachchan.

NEW DELHI: Expelled Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh on Sunday categorically ruled out the possibility of re-embracing Mr Mulayam Singh Yadav, even if that meant not paying heed to the advice rendered to him by close friend Jaya Bachchan.

Mr Singh, who has been looking for a political space for himself since his expulsion from the Samajwadi Party two months ago, has been under pressure from Ms Bachchan to kiss-and-makeup with Mr Yadav. The former SP leader ruled out that possibility once again. ``I would never go back to SP just as Ms Jaya Bachchan cannot go back to Congress,’’ Mr Singh said while addressing a large Kshatriya rally here on Sunday.

``Jaya bhabhi has been trying to put pressure on me to tolerate and go back to SP. But just as she cannot reembrace Congress, I too cannot go back to my old party,’’ Mr Singh said.

Responding to Ms Bachchan’s remarks that she was missing his presence in the party, he said: ``Jaya bhabhi said she is in SP and it was Mr Amar Singh brought her to the party. She said that his politics was my politics. Now, he is not there, I miss him very much,’’ he said.

``Listen, Jaya ji, I don’t know where you are. I want to tell you that your brother-in-law was insulted. SP general secretary Mohan Singh had said that Jaya Bachchan is just a showpiece and all film actors are just actors,’’ he said, `` I want to tell you that Manoj Tiwari and Jaya Prada are with me. So I want to tell you that I am also missing you very much,’’ Mr Singh said, alluding to the fact that the two actors, who were part of the Samajwadi Party, had come out in support of him.

Both were expelled from the party for supporting Mr Amar Singh.
