NEW DELHI: Continuing its attack on the Left parties, Samajwadi Party on Monday came up with a poster displaying mug shots CPM general secretary Prakash Karat, BSP chief Mayawati and senior BJP leader L K Advani engraved on a crown with an inscription 'Hey Ram'.

"This is the new face of Indian politics," SP General Secretary Amar Singh told reporters on Monday pointing to the poster.

The SP is under fire from the Left for "ditching" them and moving towards the UPA on the nuclear deal issue. On the other hand, Singh has been attacking the Left for "voting along with the communal BJP" to topple the Government, saying fight against communalism was more important than fighting against the United States.

Asked about his views on Somnath Chatterjee continuing as Lok Sabha even as the CPM has asked him to quit, Singh said it was "absolutely wrong and disgusting" on the part of the Left party to do so.

"Chatterjee is an epitome of secular politics," he said. He said it was the collective responsibility of all leaders of the UPA to ensure the Government get adequate numbers in the trust vote.
