Almost all ideological projects completed in last 10 years: Home Minister Amit Shah

Union Minister for Home and Cooperative Affairs Amit Shah on Thursday said that "almost all ideological projects", including the abrogation of Article 370, construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya, etc have been accomplished by the Modi government over the last ten years and that it will continue on the same path in its third term also. Shah was inaugurating the Hindu Spiritual and Service Fair 2025 organised by the RSS affiliate Hindu Spiritual and Service Foundation in Ahmedabad.

"Several works of our ideology which no one dared to even touch in the last seven decades since Independence have been accomplished and today India is standing before the world with pride," he said. "Article 370 has been abrogated in Kashmir, Ram lalla's exile is over after 550 years and a grand Ram Temple has been constructed in Ayodhya, Kashi Vishwanath Corridor has been made, Somnath Temple is being made of gold, triple talaq is stopped and the Uniform Civil Code is also in place," he added.

"There was a time in India, when people were hesitant to reveal their identity. In the alleys of Delhi, saying 'I am Hindu' used to create an awkward situation. What used to be in the heart had to be kept in the heart," Shah said, adding that in the last ten years so much change has happened that "openly almost all our ideological projects have been completed." "When 170 countries of the world propagate Yoga and accept its teachings, it is a matter of great pride for us," Shah said. "When during the G20 Summit, leaders from all over the world came here and offered their tributes to Mahatma Gandhi at his Samadhi Sthal, that too was a matter of pride for us," he added.


Paying tribute to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his birth anniversary, Shah said that Bose is the guiding star of the 90-year-long freedom struggle. In the history of the world's freedom movements, Netaji will always be remembered by the world for his efforts to make India free by traveling to several countries to form the Azad Hind Fauj, and leading the nation towards independence.
