Palaniswami rejected reports of differences between him and Annamalai.
BJP and estranged ally AIADMK have sorted out differences during a meeting of leaders of both parties at home minister Amit Shah’s residence in New Delhi. “Alliance with BJP is firm and will continue for the 2024 general elections,” AIADMK general secretary E Palaniswami told a news conference in New Delhi on Thursday, a day after holding talks with Shah, BJP president JP Nadda and Tamil Nadu chief Annamalai.

Palaniswami rejected reports of differences between him and Annamalai. Annamalai had recently said BJP should sever ties with AIADMK. BJP insiders said the party was keen to contest at least 10 seats, including South Chennai, Nilgiris, Tirunelveli, Sivaganga, Coimbatore, Kanyakumari, Ramanathapuram and Thoothukudi. BJP contested only five seats last time. It has managed to win Coimbatore and Kanyakumari in different LS polls
