BHOPAL: Heeding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call on sanitation from the Red Fort, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today announced that toilets would be constructed in all Government schools in the state within a year.

"We will construct toilets in each and every school in the state within a year as desired by the Prime Minister in his Independence Day speech," he told reporters at the Mantralaya (State secretariat) here.

Chouhan said for providing toilet facility in each and every household in the BJP-ruled State, the Government has already launched a campaign, " Maryada".

The campaign seeks to address sanitation issues related to women and open defecation, especially in rural areas, he added.
