All enquiries to be taken to logical ends: Virbhadra

Virbhadra Singh said all enquiries into various irregularities and scams during the BJP government would be taken to their logical ends.

SHIMLA: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, who completed 100 days in office today, said all enquiries into various irregularities and scams during the BJP government would be taken to their logical ends.

"All benami and dubious land deals would be probed. Separate investigation agencies would be entrusted various enquiries and the vigilance department would be asked to take further action in probe into alleged illegal phone tapping, Singh told reporters here.

Rubbishing the charge of the BJP that the government was only engaged in "Badla and Badli" (revenge and vindictive transfers of employees), Singh said that the government would not take notice of comments made by "disappointed leaders rejected by the people".

"However, only enquiry is not the main agenda, the government would vigorously pursue the developmental and welfare works and ensure balanced, uniform and speedy development of all areas and sections of people", he said.

Singh claimed that the government had initiated major steps to implement the poll promises and its performance during the short span of three months has been beyond expectations.

Maintaining that there were lot of scams in every department during previous BJP government, the chief minister said "we are inquiring into the scams and the government had already resumed the land given to Patanjali Yogapeeth of Baba Ramdev and Bemloe luxury villa project in Shimla, alleged sale of land around Annandale and five star hotel pavilion constructed by Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association's in Dharamsala are some of the matters under scanner which are being probed".
