Alabama Governor Robert Bentley to lead trade delegation to India
Governor Robert Bentley accepted the invitation to lead the delegation during a meeting with the Indian Consul General of Atlanta, Ajit Kumar.

Governor Robert Bentley accepted the invitation to lead the delegation during a meeting with the Indian Consul General of Atlanta, Ajit Kumar, yesterday.
No dates for the trip has been announced yet. During the meeting, Bentley and Kumar discussed a number of issues of mutual interest to both Alabama and India specifically; the shared democracy, how Alabama could work together with India in the area of manufacturing, education, mining, defence and agriculture, a statement said.
In his remarks, the Governor appreciated the contribution of the Indian-Americans living in Alabama.
Later at a reception hosted by the Southeastern US law firm of Adams and Reese, which is known for its strong India practice, Kumar invited Alabama corporations to visit India and invest in one of the fastest growing countries in the world.
Alabama State Senator Slade Blackwell reiterated the contribution of the Indian American community, welcomed the Consul General and offered his complete support to find ways to strengthen ties between the two governments.
