LUCKNOW: To improve the dial 100 facility of the Uttar Pradesh police, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today directed officials concerned to sign an agreement with '911' centres in Brooklyn and Austin in the US in this regard.

Directing the officials to prepare basic infrastructure for a state-wide dial 100 facility, he said, "The project should be run in a manner that it becomes a role model in terms of police emergency response."

He said the state government was providing all basic facilities required to implement the project.

An official spokesperson said the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister has asked the officers concerned to sign an agreement with Brooklyn and Austin's '911' centers.
