LUCKNOW: A massive show of strength has been planned by CM Akhilesh Yadav on November 3 that will see also see him driving through the Lucknow-Agra expressway, the government's biggest development project. Though not billed as a formal inauguration, Akhilesh and his supporters would drive through the 302-km long expressway and cover the Yadav bastion of Ferozabad, Manipuri, Kannauj and finally culminate it with a rally in Saifai.

Youth and party workers would gather all along the route and greet Akhilesh and his his Samjawadi Vikas Rath yatra. He will, on some stretches, also get off the expressway and take alternative routes.

The Akhilesh loyalists are thronging to Janeshwar Trust building which has become their war room and are gearing up for a massive show of strength. A SP youth leader said that thousands of cars and SUVs will accompany Akhilesh on his yatra starting November 3.

The cadres have already written to Mulayam stating they will not participate in the SP silver jubilee celebrations on November 5, and that could now turn out to be a show of strength by the older generation.

The idea to take the rath yatra through the expressway was mooted as it symbolises the successful completion of one of the biggest projects launched by Akhilesh Yadav.
