Akhilesh Yadav looking at life beyond SP?

LUCKNOW: Even as the window for reconciliation between the warring factions of Samajwadi Party got narrower on Saturday, political circles in the state capital were agog with talks of UP CM Akhilesh Yadav looking for life beyond Samajwadi Party. Sources say that Akhilesh's camp maybe working on the possibility of launching a new outfit.

Speculation about such a move became rife when party general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav, who has been on the CM's side, met Election Commission officials in Delhi recently .

"While it would be a last resort and a painful decision, we are confident of a win and coming to power under the new outfit by the dint of good work carried out by Akhilesh Yadav. We would be seen as the true inheritors of the socialist legacy," says a key member of Akhilesh camp.

Names like Progressive Samajwadi Party, with motorcycle as the poll symbol, are floating around as the likely identity of the new outfit.
