Ajit Singh forms small parties’ front in UP

Rashtriya Lok Dal Chief Ajit Singh has formed a front comprising his party and several small outfits that have varying degrees of influence in different regions of Uttar Pradesh.

LUCKNOW: Rashtriya Lok Dal Chief Ajit Singh has formed a front comprising his party and several small outfits that have varying degrees of influence in different regions of Uttar Pradesh.

Singh said that RLD, Peace Party, Indian Justice Party, Bhartiya Samaj Party, Itehad-e-Millat Council and Janwadi Party had formed an alliance to jointly contest the 2012 state Assembly elections. He said that people had lost confidence in the Mayawati government and wanted an alternative to BSP.

The new front would give people a credible alternative against Mayawati and was confident of bagging large number of seats.
