Ajit Pawar trying to poach our MPs: NCP (SP)
The Sharad Pawar faction of the NCP denies joining the BJP-led coalition in Maharashtra, accusing the Ajit Pawar faction of attempting to poach their MPs. They dismissed claims of unifying with the Ajit faction, highlighting that attempts to lure ...

"While they (NCP-Ajit) are claiming that they consider Sharad Pawar as their deity, in reality they approach our MPs and are telling them to leave the father (Sharad Pawar) and daughter (Supriya Sule) and go with them. What kind of culture is this? It is not in our culture to leave our father and sister," said NCP(SP) leader Jitendra Awhad.
NCP(SP) was referring to state NCP (Ajit) president Sunil Tatkare allegedly approaching a few NCP Lok Sabha MPs from the Sharad Pawar faction to join them. The offer was allegedly made to the MPs during the recent parliamentary session. NCP(SP) has eight Lok Sabha MPs.
Awhad claimed that there was no truth in the talk that their faction was coming together with the Ajit faction to support the BJP. "They first took our party and then our symbol and now they want to take our MPs away. If our two factions are coming together, then why do they need to lure our MPs in this manner?" the NCP(SP) leader said.
