Ajit Pawar said his party decided to join the Eknath Shinde-led government in the interest of the state and the country, and praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.
Maintaining that there was no split in NCP, he said all MLAs, MPs of the party have backed the decision to join the government and that they would contest all future elections on NCP's name and symbol.
He said: "We need strong leadership in the country that is being provided by PM Modi. Modi will become prime minister again in 2024."
