AITUC: Ramendra Kumar, Gurudas Dasgupta re-elected President, General Secretary

COIMBATORE: Ramendra Kumar and Gurudas Dasgupta were re-elected today as President and General Secretary respectively of the All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC).

They were re-elected at the end of the four-day 41st national conference, which concluded here.

It also elected a 365-member general council, with 92 working committee members, of which 42 were as office bearers, Amarjeet Kaur, who was also re-elected as Secretary, told reporters.

While H Mahadevan was elected as Working President, 20 persons were elected as Vice Presidents and 18 Secretaries, she said.

N P Munjal was elected as Treasurer.
