AITC, a private limited company involved in massive corruption: Bengal BJP head Suvendhu Adhikari

Challenging this protest, Adhikari, who had defeated chief minister Mamata Banerjee in the 2021 assembly polls, alleged, that "the state, in the last 10 years, has taken thousands of crores of rupees from the Central government with regards to the matter of fake job cards under MGNREGA. Corruption is deeply rooted in the state. It's a big scam".
Addressing a press conference at the BJP headquarters here, Adhikari said the AITC's dharna coincides with Ram Navami. "It's unfortunate to carry this out on such an auspicious day. This has been done deliberately. The economic condition is deteriorating in the state," Adhikari said.
BJP MP Locket Chatterjee, who was speaking at the same press meet, said the AITC gives respect only to those who are "corrupt, violent and are cheaters". She alleged that the Bengal government renames the Centre's policies, doesn't contribute even a penny to these policies, and grabs credit for the same. "This has been the nature of AITC, which is unfortunate," she added.
