AISSF welcomes recommendation for SIT probe in 1984 riots case

JAMSHEDPUR: The All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) today welcomed the recommendation of a government-appointed committee to re-investigate the anti-Sikh riot cases through a Special Investigation Team

"We welcome the recommendation of the committee for fresh probe by SIT into the 1984 anti-Sikh riots following the assassination of the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi," said AISSF President (Bihar-Jharkhand), Satnam Singh Gambhir.

Gambhir said AISSF had been demanding constitution of a SIT to probe afresh the anti-Sikh riots in the country.
