CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa today said Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Stations would be set up in 25 urban and industrial locations in the State.

It was very essential to monitor air quality in urban and industrial areas and initiate preventive measures, she said. "I am happy to announce that Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Stations would be set up in 25 urban and industrial locations cross Tamil Nadu."

She made the announcement in a suo motu statement in the Assembly.
