Air India violating CVC norms on cabin-crew accommodation: BKS
Shiv Sena-backed Bharatiya Kamgar Sena (BKS) on Wednesday alleged that national air-carrier, Air India, was violating the Central Vigilance Commission's (CVC) guidelines on the selection of hotels for its cabin crew.
MUMBAI : Shiv Sena-backed Bharatiya Kamgar Sena (BKS) on Wednesday alleged that national air-carrier, Air India, was violating the Central Vigilance Commission's (CVC) guidelines on the selection of hotels for its cabin crew.
"The procedure followed for hotel selection is in gross violation of CVC guidelines," BKS' General Secretary and President of the All India Cabin Crew Association, Kiran Pawaskar, said in a press release here.
The Air India management was also violating the bilateral agreements of 1988 and 1995 signed with the AICCA, he alleged.
Now cabin-crew were being put up at motels instead of hotels and in areas unsafe for women, Pawaskar alleged.
"No AICCA representative is allowed inspection (of the accommodation sites) despite the bilateral agreements," he said.
The three Sena MPS who met Patel are Bharat Kumar Raut, Sanjay Raut and Mohan Rawle, The three unions -- AICCA, AIEU and AIEA -- together claim the support of more than 7,500 employees in the now merged entity.
