Air India flight suffers tyre-burst, passengers safe

An Aurangabad-bound Air India aircraft with around 100 passengers onboard suffered a tyre burst while it was taxiing for take-off at the city airport today.

MUMBAI: An Aurangabad-bound Air India aircraft with around 100 passengers onboard suffered a tyre burst while it was taxiing for take-off at the city airport today.

All the passengers were safe and left in another aircraft two hours later, an airline spokesperson said.

"At 4.19 PM, Air India flight IC 887 (Mumbai- Aurangabad) when taxiing towards the runway reported a tyre burst," the official said.

The incident caused a delay of around two hours and the flight finally took off at 6.15 PM, the official added.
