AINRC government implements schemes to make political gains: DMK

PUDUCHERRY: Opposition DMK today charged the AINRC government with implementing welfare schemes only for political and electoral gains.

DMK Puducherry unit convener M A S Subramanian cited the free rice scheme, among others, to substantiate his charge.

He claimed the scheme, operated through public distribution system, was suspended for a long time.

But weeks ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, the scheme was revived and this was to garner votes for AINRC,he alleged and announced his party's plan to launch a stir "to condemn the shifting stand on the part of the government."
