AIDWA seeks CBI probe into functioning of Aurobindo Ashram

PUDUCHERRY: All India Democratic Women's Association (AIDWA) today held a demonstration urging the government for a CBI probe into the working of the Aurobindo Ashram here.

Addressing the demonstrators General Secretary of the national committee of AIDWA Sudha Sundarraman said the Ashram had been in the eye of controversy in the wake of the recent incidents of two sisters and their mother from Bihar committing suicide.

She said the women had made allegations against the Ashram. A CBI probe should be ordered to bring out the facts and also to ensure that the Ashram functioned in a transparent manner.
