AICC session: Resolution worked to add 'INDIA Bloc'
The AICC passed the main resolution titled 'Nyay Path', based on the draft cleared by the CWC on Wednesday. Notably, the final version included a firm commitment to the INDIA bloc—an element missing from the earlier draft. This addition highlights...

"The Congress party has worked in the spirit of constructive cooperation and collective efforts, not only with our time-tested political allies but created and sustained the architecture of 'India Alliance' on the commonality of people's issues. We stand committed to continuing this effort even in future," said the final resolution passed at the session.
The alliance part was added late Tuesday night after its omission became a talking point, sources said. ET had reported that some CWC members (reportedly including Anand Sharma and Shashi Tharoor) had also felt at Tuesday's CWC meeting that the draft resolution needed some fine-tuning and additional points.
Accordingly, a critique of BJP government and its affiliates' efforts to pitch "Hindu Vs Muslim" and "language and North India-South India divisions", and a reference to "targeting of Church land" after passing the waqf bill were added while asserting that Congress is "resolutely committed to fighting the politics of religious, linguistic caste-based and regional divisions" and is committed to "secularism" . The final version also added the recent "Justice Varma cash issue" and made a pitch for "judicial accountability".
It also added Congress's commitment to increase quota cap beyond 50% besides affirming Congress's traditional two-state solution stand in the Palestine-Israel conflict. The leadership picked AICC general secretary Sachin Pilot to do the honours of formally presenting the resolution at the session on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi told the session about plans to reinforce District Congress Committees and to empower DCC chiefs and give them a say in the selection of party candidates. AICC general secretary (organisation) KC Venugopal informed that workshops would be held in all states.
