AIADMK seeks special assembly session
Anbalagan said that the government should have adopted the resolution to criticise the Karnataka government in the recent session of the House.

Talking to reporters here, AIADMK Deputy Legislature Party leader A Anbalagan said that "it is really mind boggling that the Chief Minister is keeping silent without raising voice of protest against the Karnataka government`s move.
He said already the Tamil Nadu government had acted swiftly and adopted a resolution taking strong exception to the construction of the dams by Karnataka.
"The Tamil Nadu government is keen about protecting the rights of the Tamil Nadu ryots. But the Chief Minister of Union Territory is maintaining silence much to the embarrassment of the farmers of Karaikal region relying on Cauvery water for farm operations", he said.
The session was necessary to adopt a unanimous resolution which should be subsequently submitted to the Centre to register Puducherry government's protest against the 'design of the Karnataka government' affecting the ryots of the delta districts in Tamilnadu and Puducherry, he said.
Anbalagan said that the government should have adopted the resolution to criticise the Karnataka government in the recent session of the House.
He said that the Puducherry Assembly should be convened in the next couple of days to adopt a joint resolution of all parties to register Puducherry`s protest against the Karnataka government`s move.
