AIADMK party meeting rescheduled

CHENNAI: AIADMK supremo and Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa today said the meeting of her party's decision-making bodies, Executive and General Council, has been rescheduled.

Originally planned for December 28, the meeting will now be held on December 31 at the same venue at Vanagaram near Chennai, she said in a party statement. Party's Presidium chairman E Madhusudhanan will chair the meeting, she added.

The party meets at a time when the state is locked in a legal battle with Karnataka over Cauvery water sharing dispute besides power shortage severely affecting the state.
