Ahmedabad: The Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan in Ahmedabad was reportedly vandalised by Bajrang Dal on Monday night. As per the Congress party spokesperson Hemang Raval, individuals associated with BJP, Bajrang Dal, and VHP threw stones at the Congress office in Ahmedabad to protest Rahul Gandhi's recent comments about Hindus in Parliament.

Raval mentioned that a police complaint has been lodged regarding the incident.

Meanwhile, several segments of Rahul Gandhi's maiden speech as Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha have been expunged from the Parliament records. In his speech, Rahul Gandhi criticised the central government on issues such as minorities, the NEET controversy, and the Agnipath scheme. His comments, including those concerning Hindus and allegations against PM Narendra Modi, BJP, and RSS, drew objections from the Treasury benches.

During the debate on the motion of thanks on President Draupadi Murmu's address, Rahul Gandhi accused BJP and RSS of promoting violence and hatred. This led to a strong rebuttal from BJP leaders, including PM Modi. "Calling the entire Hindu community violent is a very serious matter," the Prime Minister slammed Rahul Gandhi in the house. Home Minister Amit Shah demanded an apology from Rahul Gandhi.

The BJP leaders accused the Congress MP "of speaking lies, misleading the House and terming the entire Hindu community violent".

Following Rahul Gandhi's speech, both BJP and Congress held press conferences to criticise each other's positions. Portions of Rahul Gandhi's remarks targeting BJP's treatment of minorities, industrialists Adani and Ambani, and aspects of the Agniveer Scheme were expunged from the official records of the Lok Sabha proceedings.
