“Farmer leaders from BKU (KISAN) have said that they support the government and they will make farmers aware of the laws at the district level,” he said.
Tomar also held a series of discussions with Union home minister Amit Shah, based on which further amendments to the farm laws are being discussed. The centre is examining the proposal to hold next round of talks with the protesting farmers. Govt has also conveyed to farmers’ groups that they are willing to consider other suggestions on amending the agri laws, said officials.
