GUWAHATI: Amid protest over Citizenship Amendment Bill in Assam and Tripura, BJP ally Asom Gana Parishad, after a legislature party meeting on Thursday, wrote to Union home minister Amit Shah demanding 100% quota for locals in jobs, safeguards as per the Assam Accord, ST status for six communities and that 100 out of 126 assembly seats and LS seats be reserved for locals.

AGP leader Ramendra Kalita said: “We have send a letter to Shah seeking fulfilment of these demands before the bill is tabled.”
