NEW DELHI: After a convincing victory of the government in the trust vote, Commerce and Industry Minister Kamal Nath is heading for Geneva to lead India's negotiations in the crucial WTO talks.

Nath, who went to Geneva before the talks on Doha Round began, had to return here for participating in the confidence vote.

"I am leaving for Geneva rightaway," Commerce and Industry Minister said.

The World Trade Organisation has convened a five-day mini-Ministerial Meeting from January 21 to infuse urgency into the Doha Round for a global trade.

In the absence of Nath, WTO secretariat had given special permission to Commerce Secretary G K Pillai to lead the country in the negotiations.
