After taking oath, Mallikarjun Kharge reappointed RS opposition leader

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge was reappointed leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, an official communique said soon after he took oath as a member of the House on Monday following his re-election from Karnataka.

Chairman CP Radhakrishnan administered the oath to Kharge in his chamber in Parliament. The ceremony was attended by leader of the House and health minister JP Nadda, parliamentary affairs minister Kiren Rijiju, Rajya Sabha deputy chairman Harivansh Narayan, Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and KC Venugopal, besides Kharge's family members and others.
